Georgia opened her eyes slowly. She could feel the hard surface of the floor pressing against her cheek, and though she racked her brains she couldn't think where she was, or how she'd gotten there. Last she could remember she'd been in her lab on the Helsinki... or was it her bed in her quarters? She couldn't quite remember.
The light was bright, and she had to force her eyes to stay open against it. Eventually, her eyes adjusted.
The view wasn't much better. As she pushed herself up into a seated position, she could see she was in a round room, white, with white shiny walls and a white shiny floor. Looking up, there was a skylight up in the ceiling. She couldn't see anything beyond it.
There was no-one else in the room with her, and not much in the way of furniture. Just something that looked like it might be a doorway, and that was about it.
What on Earth is going on?

With a small sound of air being displaced by mass, a figure materialized on the floor near Georgia. It remained unmoving for a moment, but then it shuddered and the head of a Ferengi lifted up. She looked around, dazed, her ears listening for clues to her surroundings.
Seeing the other woman, Reyna asked, "why am I here?"
She backed away until her back was against one of the walls. Where was her crew? Her Captain? Why was she alone in this room with this human? Reyna looked down at her hip for a weapon, but it had been removed. "What do you want," she asked bitterly.

Georgia blinked as, seemingly out of nowhere, another person just popped out of thin air and appeared in front of her. The other person's questions incited more blinking from Georgia, who, for a change, was quite speechless at the situation.
"I have no idea," she said, bluntly. "I would like to know where here is, actually."
She looked around the room again, but came to no more conclusions, then looked back at the other woman, suddenly registering her hostile tones of her enquiry.
"Sorry," she added, slightly belatedly.

Reyna relaxed just a bit having learned the other woman seemed to be in the same situation. "Don't be sorry," she said, "I judged you before getting all the data." She gave her half a smile, "Lieutenant Reyna... USS Aries."
She stood up, looking about the room, "mind telling us what we're doing here," she shouted at the walls. She didn't know if anyone was listening, but there was no harm in trying. At least, she hoped there wasn't...

Georgia smiled, put at ease a little by the other woman relxaing.
"Lieutenant Georgia Kaney," she said, in reply. "USS Helsinki." She let Reyna shout at the ceiling, but nothing came back at them but a faint echo.
"I expect they'll be along when they're good and ready," she muttered. "I only hope they... whoever 'they' are... don't have anything too nefarious planned for us." She pulled her knees up to her chest, hugging them to her. "I wonder if there is anyone else here? Or if anyone else will sort of... pop into existence like you did." She tilted her head very slightly, her trademark move to those that knew her that she was thinking a problem over.

Reyna was starting to get slightly panicky. Her usual place was on the bridge, not facing some challenge on a strange planet. She could count on one hand the number of away missions that marked her record.
"What if no one comes? What if," her eyes grew big, "one of us has to eat the other one to stay alive, but that would only last for so long and then that person would die, too. Do our ships even miss us? What if some stranger is sitting in our place? What if no one is looking for us?" She realized she was rambling and put a hand over her mouth.
